Donnie's Award Winning Chili
Stage 1
2 1/2 lbs. Course Ground Chuck (brown & drain)
2 T Paprika
1 1/2 T Onion Powder
1 1/2 t. Cayenne Pepper (gives good kick, can reduce)
2 t. Beef Bouillon Grans.
1 t. Chicken Bouillon Grans
2 - 8oz. Canned Tomato Sauce
1 Med. Finely Chopped Onion
1 t. Trappey's Jalapeno Hot Sauce (or any green jalapeno hot sauce)
1 C. Water
Cook stage 1 for an hour then add the next ingredients and cook
30 minutes.
Stage 2
6 T Chili Powder
1 1/2 t. Garlic Powder
1/2 t. Fresh Ground Pepper
1 T. Cumin
(Water*) -- approx. 1 cup
(Option - Add 2 Cans Pinto or Chili Beans, heat another 15 minutes)
*Add water to the consistency that you like. Everyone likes their chili various
thickness and this recipe lets you create your own without affecting the flavor.
