KOMA is once again taking Oklahoma's messages of support to our injured troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The 2009 "Sign the Banner" campaign will take place the weekend of July 3rd and 4th at Wal-Mart locations all over central Oklahoma.
Last year, 68 KOMA banners with over 4000 messages were collected! The banners were personally delivered by KOMA's Kent Jones along with the Showcase Singers as they performed for our troops at the Walter Reed Medical Center. The troops and their families also enjoyed a barbecue dinner. (See the video below.)
This year we encourage you to sign the banner as we take Oklahoma to our injured troops.
